To participate more fully in the global economy, developing countries have a special need to increase the effective use of technology in their economies and in education. Intel therefore provides financial and technical support, ideas and solutions through partnerships with governments, non-government nonprofit organizations, and other companies in private industry to encourage innovation in education. The Intel® Teach to the Future program is a worldwide initiative to help teachers effectively integrate the use of computer technology into classroom curriculum to improve student learning and achievement; the program has been successfully implemented in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, China, Estonia, India, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines and Poland. Through the program, classroom teachers receive training in pedagogical approaches that result in the effective integration of computers into their existing curriculum, increasing student learning and achievement. In each country where the program is implemented, Intel works with Ministries of Education and other local officials to adapt the curriculum to insure that it is appropriate for the country.
